We are delighted to announce that we have received ‘a National Lottery award from The National Lottery Community Fund’, funding was made possible thanks to National Lottery players.

These fund will allow us to continue to work with children and young people who are able to benefit from Arts Therapy through our Kinship Care Project.

The project supports children and young people in Kinship Care, often living with grandparents, and significantly isolated or disconnected from mainstream support. Kinship families are now under even greater stress due to the COVID 19 pandemic; grandparents have significantly increased anxieties regarding the children they care for - as support systems and services are disrupted or unable to offer the same capacity or quality of service.

Spiral Kinship Care Project aims to offer weekly arts therapy sessions from November 2021 - April 2022. The project is a continuation of existing projects, with supporting recovery from the stresses of the COVID-19 Pandemic, a new strand to the project.

“In these uncertain times our priority is to ensure that National Lottery money continues to flow to charities, voluntary sector organisations and grassroots groups . I would like to congratulate Spiral - Creative Arts Therapies on their award, theirs is an important project and will support people now and in the future when they can physically come back together to make great things happen in their community.”The National Lottery Community Fund, Scotland Chair, Kate Still.
